6th Renewed in Liturgy Series
Our Lord accompanies us in many ways, but none as profound as when we encounter him in the Eucharist. However, the reality is that a significant percentage of Catholics do not believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and consider Sunday Mass a mere obligation instead of necessity. Divine Liturgy brings all of us together in communion to celebrate the greatest mystery and we receive the graces when we participate and offer and then receive Jesus in the holy Communion. Vatican II says, “Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian Life”. To experience it, we must know what we are doing in the church when we celebrate the Holy Mass. Through teaching by scholars and experts on Liturgy, our ministry is helping everybody to learn about the Divine liturgy so that our celebration of Holy Mass will become an experience. Established in the year 2019, Renewed in Liturgy Ministry have been serving people of God in the diocese to help increase their understanding of the Holy Mass.
The “6thth Renewed in Liturgy” series begins on Nov 7th, 2024, with speaker Rev. Fr. Gerard Monaghan, Episcopal Vicar, Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall, Most Rev. Terrence Prendergast, S.J., Archbishop Emeritus (Nov14th) and His Grace Bishop Scott McCaig CC (Nov 21st). This teaching series is free and will begin at 7pm and ends at 9pm at Holy Rosary Parish, Ottawa. www.renewedinliturgy.com
