Mass of Remembrance (for children lost through miscarriage or in infancy)
All are invited to a special diocesan Mass of Remembrance for children lost through miscarriage or in infancy. Hosted at Annunciation Parish on Oct 19, 2024, the 9am Mass is an opportunity to entrust to the Lord our children who have gone home to his arms. They are known and loved by him. During the Mass, we will read aloud their names and pray for peace and healing for those of us still journeying on earth.
You are welcome to submit your child’s name regardless of whether or not you can join us for the Mass. Scroll down the page to submit using our online form.
Our God has a great tenderness for the grieving and the broken-hearted. The shortest verse in all of scripture records his own moment of grief at the grave of a loved one: “Jesus wept.” (John 11:35). We know he is with us in our own heartbreak.
We are grateful to all who have donated to make this Mass a success, and for the work of florist Anna Freeman. There will be a reception following the Mass.

If you have lost a child, you are invited to record their name(s) using the form below.
All recorded names will be remembered during the Mass.
You are still welcome to submit a name even if you cannot attend the Mass. It would be our honour to remember your child.
