Midnight Mass and Candlelit Concert
As you step into St. Mary’s Parish (100 Young St) on Christmas Eve, the stillness surrounds you. The church is cloaked in darkness, the only light coming from the gentle flicker of candles scattered throughout. At 11:30 pm, the quiet is filled with music as the Christmas concert begins. The carols soar through the church, their melodies wrapping you in a sense of anticipation.
At the strike of midnight, a voice rings out—the traditional Christmas proclamation announcing the birth of Jesus. In that instant, the candles are joined by a sudden brilliance as the church lights come alive and Midnight Mass begins. The beauty and solemnity draw you fully into the mystery and joy of Christ’s birth.
