Soaring Together: A virtual teen support group for sibling loss
A Five-Week Journey for Teens to Heal, Honor, and Find Connection After Loss
For Teens Aged 13-18
Soaring Together is a five-week virtual support group created by Red Bird Ministries (a Catholic grief ministry) for teens aged 13-18 who have experienced the loss of a sibling. Led by Jessica Wilfore, MS-Ed, CCLS—a Certified Child Life Specialist and mother of loss—the group offers a safe, small-group setting (limited to eight participants) where teens can connect with peers to understand their grief.
Meeting every Monday night in June from 7 pm to 8 pm CST, the sessions combine therapeutic activities and guided discussions on key topics, including remembrance, expressing anger, and honoring their sibling’s legacy. Through this program, teens will find a compassionate community, healthy outlets for emotions, and tools for healing—all while discovering they’re not alone in their journey.
