Women’s Cursillo Weekend, Plantagenet

The Ottawa Cursillo Movement is holding a Women’s Weekend from April 24 to 27, 2025 at Centre de L’Amour in Plantagenet. The weekend is called a Cursillo. Cursillo is a Spanish word meaning “little” or “short” course. The Cursillo begins Thursday evening with a short introduction and orientation, then the retreat phase begins. The weekend also includes a daily celebration of the Mass and prayer times. A good part of each day is spent listening to talks, followed by group discussion. There are three meals provided each day. The weekend ends late Sunday afternoon. No one is too well-informed or too spiritual to make a Cursillo. Cursillo could be for you. The Cursillo Movement is a powerful instrument of renewal in the Catholic Church. It aims to concentrate closely on the Person and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Cursillo gives those who attend it a living understanding of fundamental Christian truths and the desire to serve the Church.
