Jubilee Year – Archdiocesan Historic Church Tour
Mark your calendars for the first Jubilee Year Historic Church Tour.
On Saturday, May 31st, starting at 1 PM, we will go to Holy Name of Mary in Almonte and St. Peter Celestine in Pakenham. Holy Name of Mary, built in 1869, features an 1875 Warren pipe organ, 150 years old this year. St. Peter Celestine is elaborately decorated with trompe-l’œil paintings by T. X. Renaud and is truly one of a kind with its 45-degree-turned steeple. Come discover some of the hidden gems of the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall!
The tour begins at 1pm at Holy Name of Mary Parish (134 Bridge St., Almonte, ON). It continues at St. Peter Celestine Parish (139 Renfrew St., Pakenham, ON). All are welcome! No registration is required. Participants must arrange their own transportation.
