
Jubilee Year – 4th Archdiocesan Historic Church Tour
Mark your calendars for the 4th Jubilee Year Historic Church Tour! On Saturday, August 23rd, starting at 1 PM, we will discover St-François-d’Assise (20 Fairmont Ave, Ottawa) followed by St. Patrick’s Basilica (220 Kent St, Ottawa).
St-François is the largest church in Ottawa and was built in 1915. There will be a demonstration of the 1886/1988 pipe organ by organist-composer Gilles Maurice Leclerc. St. Patrick’s Basilica was established in 1855, the first church to serve the Anglophone community, and was built in 1875. This beautiful neo-Gothic church was elevated to the status of minor basilica in 1995.
Tours will be given in English and French. Come discover the hidden gems of the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall!
No registration is required and all are welcome. Participants must arrange their own transportation.
