34th Annual Immaculate Heart of Mary Benefit Christmas Concert

On Sunday, December 7th, at 3:00 pm, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1758 Alta Vista Drive, come enjoy the music of the season! This event will feature local musical groups: the Grand Choeur De La Salle / Ensemble vocal 8e du CEAO (De La Salle), the Harmonia Choir of Ottawa / Ottawa Boys Choir, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Choir / St. Margaret’s Vanier Church Choir accompanied by the Divertimento Orchestra. They will be joined by tenor soloist Zachary Rubens, for special tributes to the musical season. Interspersed with this will be carol singing for all. Doors open at 2:15 pm. Seating is ample but limited. Be sure to come early to get a seat!

This 34th Immaculate Heart of Mary Concert is held in support of the Heron Emergency Food Centre (HEFC). Admission to the Concert is FREE and there is ample and easily accessible parking. There will be collection baskets for voluntary monetary donations (cheque or cash). Through the event Go Fund Me page, you can easily make an online donation and tax receipts will be issued directly to you in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines. Those interested in an advance donation or in purchasing advertising in the concert program or who have any questions, please contact the concert organizing committee at 613-791-9115.

It is important that your Will include the correct legal name and charitable registration number in your documents. The legal name for the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall is:

Your parish office is able provide you with the legal name for your own parish. However, most Archdiocesan parishes and programs can be designated in your Will as:

The Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of OTTAWA-CORNWALL, for the benefit of [ Specific Parish, Cemetery, Ministry or Program ] in [ Town / City ].

You may also consider the following clauses in your Will:

For your parish:

“To pay to (Legal Name of Parish) Roman Catholic Parish for its own use absolutely, the sum of (amount) dollars. I declare that the receipt of the person professing to be the Pastor or Parochial Administrator of the parish shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee who need not see to the application thereof. I further direct that if the (Name of Parish) does not exist at the time of my death, this bequest shall be paid to the Parish’s successor, and if no such successor exists, then to an institution with similar objectives and goals.”
