Ave Maria, Cantata Singers of Ottawa

The next Cantata Singers concert is on April 6. Entitled “Ave Maria”, it consists of 20 settings of this beautiful prayer from over the centuries. Each one is a musical gem! The compositions span hundreds of years and include chant, Palestrina, Haydn, Rachmaninoff, Reinberger, Lauridsen, Rachmaninov. The well-known Schubert and Bach-Gounod versions will be also be included. The concert takes place at St. Joseph’s Church, 174 Wilbrod Street at 3pm.
