About the Retreat
Into the Deep is a retreat focused on helping your child look at what really matters in life. We can tend to get caught up in day-to-day life without ever stopping to think about the bigger questions. Throughout the day, participants will learn how a relationship with God answers our longing for meaning and hear from other young people whose own lives have been transformed. The retreat day includes games, skits, a chance to discuss things in a small-group setting, and a time of guided prayer and worship.
The cost is $30/participant and includes lunch (dietary restrictions accommodated). The retreat begins at 10am on Saturday, Jan 18, and will run until 4:30pm.
*An evening Mass is available at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish that fulfills Sunday Obligation. This is not a formal part of the retreat schedule.
About NET Canada
NET is a Catholic Youth Ministry Organization based out of Ottawa. We see that many young people lose their faith by the time they leave high school. NET sends teams of young adults to share their faith in schools and churches, so youth are transformed and re-engaged in their Catholic faith.
What is a NET retreat?
A NET retreat is a time for your child to encounter God, maybe for the first time. Perhaps they attend church with you and are involved with a variety of activities, but have they encountered Jesus in their hearts? The day is designed to help your child do just that through teaching, games, prayer and worship. They will hear about how a relationship with God answers our longing for meaning, engage in small groups to discussion, and have lots of fun with the NET team through games and skits.
Pre-Registration is now closed but we accept walk-in registrations on the morning of the retreat! Walk-in registrations will not be provided lunch and must bring their own. To accommodate for this, we have reduced the registration cost to $20.
