You’re warmly invited to come out and spend an hour volunteering at Waupoos Family Farm, a ministry that offers affordable vacations to low-income families. Before families arrive, Waupoos needs helping hands to get the cottages, chapel, lodge, and property ready so that every guest feels welcomed and cared for. Your time and presence will make a real difference in creating a restful place for those who need it.
Ways to serve include:
- Deep-cleaning one of the 6 cottages (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, checking kitchen supplies).
- Caring for the chapel (dusting, sweeping, washing windows).
- Refreshing the main lodge (cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, shaking carpets, tidying the basement).
- Outdoor work (collecting garbage/recycling, tidying toys, moving BBQs).
When:
- Aug 27-30 (Wednesday–Saturday): 10am–2pm
- Sept 3-6 (Wednesday–Saturday): 10am–2pm
Come for an hour or a few—every little bit of help matters! It’s also a great chance to get some fresh air and get out of the city before we wrap up the summer.
